Cookbook Editing
For more than two decades, Deri has edited and copyedited cookbooks for both major publishers and independent authors. From developmental to line editing, from recipe editing to copyediting, she specializes in editing cookbooks with an emphasis on chef books and diet and health books. She enjoys the challenge of tackling and clarifying complicated recipes; rectifying recipes, menus, and shopping lists; and generally making sure every aspect of a cookbook is letter-perfect.
Recent Projects include copyediting the internationally renown Zahav by Michael Solomonov, Maida Heatter’s Happiness Is Baking, Marcus Samuelsson’s Red Rooster Cookbook, in addition to The Art of Entertaining from Relais & Chateaux, The Del Posto Cookbook, and books by Isaac Toups, Martha Rose Shulman, Katie Workman, Charlie Palmer, Dale Talde, Seamus Mullen, Rick Rodgers, Bruce Weinstein & Mark Scarbrough, and many more.
